CPI’s History

Cascade Precision Inc. was originally established in 1978 under the name McAllister Machining. In 1996, the business transitioned to what is now known as Cascade Precision Inc. (CPI). Jake Cansler, our current CEO and President, began his journey with the company in 1998 as a machinist. Through years of dedication and hands-on experience, Jake worked his way up and ultimately purchased the company in 2010.

From day one of ownership, Jake set out to modernize CPI’s capabilities—upgrading from 1980s-era CNC equipment to state-of-the-art mill-turn machines, 4- and 5-axis technology, and robotics. Under his leadership, CPI also achieved ISO 9001 and AS9100D aerospace certifications, expanding our ability to manufacture precision components for a wide range of industries.

Today, Cascade Precision operates out of a 12,000-square-foot manufacturing facility with an additional 4,000 square feet dedicated to assembly. While our tools and technology have changed, our commitment to quality, precision, and craftsmanship remains as strong as ever.
